Have a startup and need funding? Join us, to learn about common – and not so common – ways to get the funding you need to launch or grow your startup! This session will cover knowing if and when you need capital, and the right type of capital investment for your business. There are many forms of traditional and non-traditional funding, and pros and cons to each; we’ll look at what these are, and which is most approriate for your business. We’ll also discuss how the Jobs Act has changed things, and what this means for you.

About the speakers:
Nick Carnrite
Nick Carnrite is a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of LetsLaunch, where he leads efforts to create a community connecting investors interested in supporting members of their community with local businesses seeking capital. Prior to founding LetsLaunch, Nick served as a management consultant and Managing Director with The Carnrite Group. With the firm, Nick oversaw business development efforts for both consulting and Carnrite Ventures, which makes strategic investments in companies ranging from early-stage startups to established turnarounds.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA in Energy Economics from the University of Houston.
Jag Singh
Jag Singh has over 25 years of experience in financial services. He is a proven expert in executive leadership, operations, risk management, human resources, professional development, corporate finance, strategic planning, and corporate governance. Jag is an experienced integrator, facilitating new business and process improvements in both startup and existing companies. He is an entrepreneurial leader, turnaround specialist, and growth accelerator.
Jag works for A.R.M. Consulting, a risk management consultancy company, focused on identifying gaps in long-term business strategies and providing management solutions on an interim executive basis. Prior to A.R.M., he worked as COO for Saffar Capital, a private equity and venture capital firm.
A noted high achiever, Jag managed the implementation and certification of a $37 MM stock brokerage in Riyadh, KSA (it was later acquired by Credit Suisse) as well as the acquisition and turnaround of zawya.com (which was later acquired by Thomson Reuters). He served for 6 years on the board of zawya.com.
Rhian Davies
Rhian Davies is the VP Business Development of Letslaunch. Rhian has a background in supply chain management within the Oil & Gas industry including the development of global sourcing strategies and leading high profile negotiations with major international industry players.
Rhian holds a BSc in Management Sciences from Warwick Business School, UK.
