Kara founded Hint in 2005, and since then they’ve grown to a nationally recognized name, expanded their products beyond flavored water to include sunscreen and deodorant, and have grown to over $100 million in annual sales.
We’ll chat with Kara about what it’s been like building and scaling Hint, from the early days until now, and her advice for other entrepreneurs as they grow their companies.

Kara Goldin is the CEO and founder of Hint Inc, a San Francisco based company that produces flavored water with no added sweeteners and preservatives (and a fellow Women@Forbes contributor as well). Their product lineup also includes carbonated beverages named Hint fizz and naturally infused caffeine based drink called Hint kick. Goldin has earned numerous awards that include Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, Forbes’ 40 Women to Watch Over 40 and EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2017, Northern California. Before launching her business back in 2005, Goldin was the vice president of shopping and e-commerce partnerships at AOL where she led the company to $1 billion enterprise from ground zero.
